Buried under lazyness... oh shit .. theres my blog.

Holy crap i don't think i remember how to do this blogging thing, but i think i'm supposed to spill out some info about whats going on with my life and myself. So ok.. let me start off by saying sorry to those people who actual enjoy the material we put out there on the interwebs. I know we have an even of hits and misses, but i like to think the majority of shit we do are hits.

First off i wanna say good job to James and his guitar lessons on You Tube, which are really kicking ass as far as subscribers and viewers. But we all know that one something is that successful, its gonna get a lot of people attention. In this case James' guitar lessons got the attention of the copyright owners of Black Sabbaths N.I.B. and had it immediately taken down.

Now there's no doubt in my mind that the Zombie House you tube page has got most of its life from James' guitar lessons. But if the "Man" is gonna keep stepping in and ripping them down, then we as "Zombie House" need to feel in the void. Now i know we have a long and repetitive history of dry spells on the soul purpose of no drive/laziness. But that doesn't mean we don't enjoy doing these projects.

Personally i haven't been living in the same town as my fellow zombie house crew and am currently trying to find a place to live and handle all my financial fuck ups i have acquired of the years. So for that reason my priority's haven't been exactly towards zombie house. But i honestly miss the feeling of completing a project and knowing you did an awesome job.

So with that said i just want to let everyone know that once my ass gets back to my hometown of Fresno, we are gonna get some shit out there. You can say it was my New Years Resolution to bring ZH back from the dead for the 5th time, and keep that fucker alive. So you 3 people that haven't turned your back on us yet stick around. I have a feeling some good shit is on the horizon.

Oh yeah .. and HOLY FUCK.. this post and my last post are exactly 1 Year apart from the exact day. Wow. it looks like i only have shit to say on Feb 5th.

1 MONTH LATER

Holy shit balls, i haven't wrote on here in a minute. Let me turn back time a bit and lets see how much stuff can possibly happen within a month. Lets see, the last post i made was about how nasty that Taco Bell Volcano Taco was, god i hope they got rid of that already, but anyways, that night we shot the very last shot of blood genie. So ok, we released blood genie and so far to date it got a nice amount of views, 234 to be exact.

We've been releasing alot of Pj content to the site lately, and frankly i think if got the hang of this whole having my hand up PJ's ass job. Good times, good times indeed. UUUH oh yeah, we've been working on Peas in the Pod, thats going really well, like i said in one of our podcasts, think married with children meets alf, thats like the ultimate combo.

We also got our green screen up and ready to go, im thinking PJ episodes will be filmed using that. Also many of you guys may have noticed our podcast quality went professional status, hell yeah, thanks to RJ from "Hey DJ", for hooking us up with a studio and a warehouse to keep all of our ZH shit in, great guy for doing that for us. What else, what else??? Oh yeah, were slowly making the Jump to HD, hopefully we can start shooting some shorts pretty soon with the new Camera we got, very exciting stuff going on in ZH this year, so if i was you guys, i would definitely stay tuned.

Taco Bells Volcano Taco!!

Let me start off by saying that im the type of person that does not like change. If i go to a certain restaurant all the time, i have a favorite dish that i always order. The reason being is because everytime i try something new, i end up hating it. So what did i do when i went to taco bell, i ordered the new volcano taco. Holy shit was that the most discusting thing ive every ate in my entire life. (Insert penis joke here)

Seriously was not something anyone should or want to eat. It was advertised as a spicy great taco, but its just a tangy grose lump of shit in cardboard. Its seriously disgusting guys, and if you wanna be a dick to your friends, run to the nearest taco bell and order them one. I'm pretty sure these things wont be around anymore very very soon. I'm also pretty sure they got the term volcano from what happends to your ass if you actually finish one of these.

$40k to fill an ipod?

Holy fuck, 40 thousand bucks to fill my ipod (im thinking an 80gig) and i was over here thinking that 99 cents a song from the itunes store was pretty cheap, and boy was i wrong. I read this article about how one third of PC users turn to lime wire because 1 its free, and two, it obviously wouldn't make much sense spending that type of money if your that much into music. This is what the article said. (courtesy of arstechnica.com)

"Pop quiz: what music and movie downloading app is installed on over one third of the world's computers, according to a new report from Digital Music News and media tracking specialist BigChampagne? The answer isn't iTunes, nor is it any other DRM-encumbered media program that has been blessed by Big Content. The answer is LimeWire, with a presence on an estimated 36.4 percent of the world's PCs.

Clearly, the so-called "darknet" remains far and away the world's leading provider of online media content, drowning legit download services in a flood of "free." This data also should give the major labels pause in their ongoing attempts to convince Apple that $0.99 per song is way too cheap.

The labels may be tempted to take comfort in the report's other finding that, as prevalent as LimeWire is, its uptake has been virtually flat over the past year. But a recent report on nighttime P2P traffic levels found Bittorrent to be the dominant P2P protocol, suggesting that either BT clients are even more popular than the already ubiquitous LimeWire application, or that BT users download more and/or larger files.

Between LimeWire and Bittorrent, the ongoing and extremely widespread popularity of P2P as a media delivery vehicle suggest that music prices remain stuck at too high a level while the capacity of portable media players continues to balloon. Does anyone remember the iPod launch, when there were jokes about how it would cost a user a few grand to fill up an iPod at the iTunes music store? Now that number is well into the five figures for a current-generation iPod, a fact that forces users to turn to other sources of digital content if they're to come even close to filling their iPods.

And when I say "filling iPods," I do mean the iPod specifically, and not portable media players generically. Unlike non-Apple DRM offerings from movie and music providers, LimeWire happens to be 100 percent compatible with the most popular media player on the planet. This has to be a factor in its ongoing popularity—it's a free alternative to iTunes for users who just want that single or bootleg NOW, or who don't care that it takes 45 minutes to put together a complete album plus artwork at a decent bitrate.

Update: I just want to make a quick update in response to some of the more inane comments in the discussion thread, and note that the idea on which this article is premised, i.e. that a thriving gray or black market in a particular commodity is evidence of overpricing (typically from a monopoly or cartel) in the legit market, is pretty uncontroversial in economics when applied to things like drugs and non-union labor.

So I don't really understand where there's a lot to disagree with here, at least from the standpoint of basic arithmetic. I mean, gray and black markets aren't really about morality--they're about simple supply and demand.

Black markets typically carry with them a certain amount of cost for participants (i.e. the lack of government sanctioning makes contracts hard to enforce, increases risks, exposes participants to legal liability, etc.), so they're by no means "free." (This is why I put "free" in quotes in the article).

People, as rational actors, make a calculation, and they're willing to incur those black market costs when they're priced out of the legit market.

So this isn't about the "morality" of "stealing music" or any other such sentimental silliness. It's about old-fashioned supply and demand."

Classic Rock Favorates

Im bored as fuck here at work,so at break i decided to make a playlist of my favorate classic rock songs. I know im forgetting alot of good songs , but hey, i only have a 15 min break, so im trying the best i can, heres what i got so far. I'll continue adding more tracks as i start to remember some other great ones.

Resident Evil - Degeneration Trailer

Now in my opinion, all Resident Evil Movies are really really shitty, so the thought of another RE movie does not interest me in no way at all. But the key word CGI (not really a word) grabbed my attention. The Final Fantasy VII CGI Movie was pretty bad ass, maybe this is what the Resident Evil Franchise Needs. The story takes place seven years after the infamous Racoon City incident and features an all new storyline. Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy are on hand as the main characters. See for yourself, coming to a dvd player near you.
